Sneaky Technology

Hey everyone! I am convinced technology is out to get us...

I updated my Netflix app. Normal right... I've been binge watching DCs Legends and Arrow, also normal. I can download them which is awesome cause my internet sucks at my house. But hear is the kicker, Netflix deleted the ones I had already watched and downloaded the next two episode's! Like ah!!! Terrifying! Awesome sure, but TERRIFYING!

Also I decided to do some cardio on the treadmill. I picked an easy level (level 1) and did a 30 minutes burst. I started off at a brisk walk and alternated to a fast walk every couple of minutes. It kept getting harder and I was all like, "dam I'm our of shape." But near the end I happened to be paying attention to the display when bam! It switched from fast to brisk and I saw it. The stupid machine was adding incline! And it only displayed the incline change for two seconds..... Sneaky.

So there is my proof... Aside from my phone not wanting work and my work machines quitting at the time I really need them too, and that one time my Cullign machine came alive!

I finished my workout with some abbs. I did side crunches and revers crunches. I did bycicle crunches, and this hard one that has to be done with a partner. You lay on a mat with you partner standing at your head. You grab your partners ankles and lift your legs straight into the air. Your partner grabs your feet and then pushes them to the mat. The idea is to stop your heal from hitting the mat, and then you lift your legs back into the air. Yah, it sucks.

The rest of the day was eventful too. Its a full moon so the crazies are out. And of course, I am in management. But I did take my mother to lunch witch was awesome. We ate way to much!

Well, that's all for tonight. Remember, its only weird if you make it!

Its a New Dawn, a New Day, and Working Out Sucks!

Hello one and all! Its been a while sense I posted a blog.... I was going to start a new one, but this is sitting hear so why the hell not?

It's a Sunday, and for me that means 5 hours of sleep, 10 am church service, followed by lunch with the gang, and work promptly by 2. And as if that wasn't enough, I have decided to start working out. I'm on day two! Whoop whoop!

My sister is kicking my ass right now. I probably shouldn't be so worried about it, she does throw heavy boxes around for a living. And she's straight up ninja. But still, makes me wonder what happened to the days when I squat almost as much as she did.

Okay, I know what happened. Management happened. Who in the world talked me into that one? First came the stress, then the stress eating, then the staying up to late and midnight snacking, leaving me too tiered to get up at a decent hour so I could work out, leading to the inevitable loss of strength and weight gain. (Of course this is said as I eat a not so healthy meal) But as they say, "Those who can will, and those who cant wont." So this is the first step in the road back to my running weight.

I am going to use this blog as a bit of a journal, about my day and just what I did work out wise. Call it my confidant. No lying to my self about my progress, no false bravado. Just the plain simple truth laid out in plain simple English. Okay, I might throw in the fancy French or Italian word hear and there. Point is, there is proof for all to see.

So hear is what happened to day. I woke up late, as per usual. Went to church, lovely sermon from guest speaker Dr. Joel Wiggins, head of Crown College. Lunch with the gang at our favorite local cafe. And gym time, with my ass kicking sister and mother.

What did I do you ask? Oh a little of everything. First I used the machines. Lateral arm raises at 30 pounds. Bicep pulls at 30 pounds. Crunches at 30 pounds. Back extensions at 50 pounds. Squats at 75 pounds. (Mini party there) Then there was this stupid inner/outer thy work out, 30 pounds. (It SUCKED) Moved on to another stupid machine that worked your quad, 30 pounds. And last I did the reverse of the former machine at 30 pounds. Two sets, 15 each, making a grand total of 30 reps each. This is how I run most any repetition work out. I finished with sit-ups holding a ketto ball, an abb work out that involves balancing on you but with your feet and torso in the air, twisting from side to side with a ketto ball; and sitting trunk twist with a ketto ball. The ketto ball was 4 pounds. Fyi... It burned.

With work out finally over I stretched my rebelling muscles and hit the showers. Over all it was the best/worst decision of my life. Emotionally I feel great, but as I mentioned my muscles are rebelling. Have to remember protein for after workout recovery tomorrow.

Well.... That covers my day! Hope y'all didn't find this to boring! Remember that perfection is a fiction and to dance in the rain!
